When you need software that can manage your downloads, you can choose among dozens of legitimate applications, but DownloadHunter is not one of them. It is a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that may leave the clients very disappointed. The functionality of this questionable may not be as efficient as you expect. Since the program is not legitimate, its performance may be accompanied by numerous errors. However, the fact that it may not achieve what it promises is not the main reason to not install it. DownloadHunter also may cause unrequested and irritating alterations in Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. The PUP may substitute your homepage with a low-quality search platform without any approval. It may also overwhelm the web clients with pop-ups, banners, videos and interstitial ads to boost traffic towards its partners. It is improbable for these ads to enhance your online shopping. Clicking on the commercial materials consistently may have adverse consequences because there is no guarantee that third-party affiliate platforms are legitimate. If you end up on some threatening page, it may try to make you load potentially dangerous software. Some of the ads by DownloadHunter may try to obtain your email address for marketing purposes. For example, you may encounter pop-ups that claim you are the lucky visitor or that you have won the lottery. Sometimes the ads may affect the performance of the web clients. If you open several tabs at once, each containing many of the new multimedia ads, your browsers may even freeze or crash. If you didn't download DownloadHunter from its official page willingly, then it may have been brought to your PC by other freeware. In any case, it is advisable to delete the PUP as soon as possible.
