The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:

High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.

The existence of ads by Download Offer in your browsers is a clear signal that there is adware on your PC. These commercial materials may not be displayed by the visited sites. The adware that generates them may take the form of an add-on that works equally well on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. This questionable application has an official site, but it is still under development and doesn't host the software. For this reason, it will not be a surprise that the majority of installations of Download Offer may not be intentional. The adware may be included into the installers of third-party freeware. Unless you complete the setup procedure through the 'Advanced' menu, you may miss the fact that there are additional components. As a result, the suspicious add-on may enter without your knowledge. The adware may cause numerous unpleasant changes in all of the present browsers simultaneously. The first thing you may notice after the installation of Download Offer is that your homepage is different. The questionable program may have set download-offer.com as your starting site. This domain is designed as a search platform, but so far it has not been completed. As you proceed, you may notice various pop-ups, banners, videos and interstitial ads. They may be based on your online activity since the adware may monitor your browsing history. Nevertheless, it is unlikely for these ads to optimize your online shopping because they may lead you to sites that are unknown and untrustworthy. For security reasons, the experts recommend ignoring the displayed coupons and discounts. Some users report that the presence of the adware may affect the performance of their web clients negatively.
