Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Adware applications are harmless programs whose installation might lead to some minor annoyances, such as the introduction of a large number of ads in all active Web browser windows. Often, adware might be installed without the user's knowledge, and the big number of ads might surprise the affected user. One example of an adware application that uses such methods is DragonBoost. When users install this software either unknowingly or not, they may end up being exposed to a large number of the 'DragonBoost ads' whenever they browse the Web. These advertisements may include but are not limited to pop-ups, banners, in-text ads, etc. In addition to this, the advertisements may often promote irrelevant content, and it is likely that some of the pages, services or products they promote might be unreliable. We advise users never to trust marketing content associated with adware since legitimate companies would use such advertising campaigns to promote their offers rarely.
Apart from cluttering websites with marketing content, the DragonBoost Ads also may end up making certain sections of a website inaccessible. The reason for this is because the adware application only has one purpose – to display the ads it is programmed to show. To do this, it does not take into consideration the layout of the page the user is currently viewing, and this may lead to issues such as ads covering up buttons, menus, content areas, etc.
DragonBoost offers absolutely no beneficial features to the end-user, and installing it may cause problems. Since it also is categorized as adware by cyber security product vendors, it is strongly recommended to remove DragonBoost if you spot this program or its ads on your computer. The removal of DragonBoost can be completed either via manual uninstallation or with the assistance of a suitable cyber security software suite.
