Driver Maximizer

Posted: October 8, 2018

The Driver Maximizer by Solid Tech is a software suite meant to enhance a system’s performance by ensuring that all drivers are up-to-date. While this tool might sound very useful, you might want to think twice whether it is worth it to install the Driver Maximizer, because the reputation of this application seems to be far from magnificent. For starters, the Driver Maximizer is advertised as a free program when, in reality, the free version of the software suite is only able to scan the system and generate a report with recommended driver updates (if any.)

However, if the user wishes to apply the recommended driver updates automatically, they will be prompted to activate the full version of the Driver Maximizer. This, unfortunately, is not free of charge and users will be asked to purchase the full product from the Solid Tech website. Furthermore, the End-User License Agreement states that Solid Tech is not obliged to provide users of the Driver Maximizer with free technical support help, and this might mean that they may be charged if they need to utilize the Driver Maximizer’s support team.

The Driver Maximizer is classified as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP), which does not make it unsafe, but it may mean that the application might exhibit unpredictable behavior and mislead its users. We advise you to stay away from the Driver Maximizer since it offers nothing valuable for free, and its paid features are not worth the money thanks to the better free alternatives that are available online. If you have installed the Driver Maximizer and you are not happy with it, then we suggest that you take care of its removal by using a suitable PC security utility.
