Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

The Driving Directions Home is a browser extension, which claims to provide users with reliable maps and driving instructions that can help them get the best route to their desired destination. However, it is questionable why someone would want to have this information in their Web browser, considering that they would not be able to access it while driving their car. Regardless of this, it is undeniable that the Driving Directions Home serves its purpose well and it does, in fact, provide users with driving instructions. However, the driving instructions are based on a 3rd-party map service, and this means that the only thing that the Driving Directions Home does is to refer users to an alternative routing and map service.
The Driving Directions Home software is only available for Google Chrome, and users who use other Web browsers are unlikely to encounter the unwanted changes that the installation of this extension may bring. When the Driving Directions Home is deployed to a computer, it may modify the Google Chrome's default new tab page to Drivingdirectionshome.org, a search engine that offers driving directions, as well as access to a search feature. All searches executed through Drivingdirectionshome.org end up taking the user to a search results page hosted by Yahoo. Similar products that Polarity Technologies offer are:
- Maps Driving Directions by Mapsdrivingdirections.org.
- Directions Mapper by Directions-mapper.com.
- Directions Express by Directions.express.
- MyTransitGuide by Tmytransitguide.com
- Easy Maps Access by Easymapsaccess.com
Users who wish to remove the Driving Directions Home and the new tab page it has brought to Google Chrome should take the necessary steps to uninstall the software from their computers. One way to deal with this extension is to use the Google Chrome's settings to uninstall it manually. If this does not work as expected, then you should not forget that a credible PC security utility can handle the task as well.
