Email Access Here

The Email Access Here is classified as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP), which redirects users to a website called search.hemailaccesshere.com whenever they open their homepage or use their default search engine. To do this, the Email Access Here is installed as a browser extension or as a custom-built based on Google Chromium.

If the Email Access Here is installed as a browser extension, it changes the browser’s homepage and default search engine to search.hemailaccesshere.com, so that the user is always redirected to that particular page, regardless of whether they open a new tab or search terms on the Internet. When the Email Access Here is installed as a custom program, it will pretend to be a regular Chrome browser and will create a toolbar at the top of the Windows desktop. In this case, when the users try to accomplish a search, their homepage will be redirected to the website search.hemailaccesshere.com.

The Email Access Here can be a potentially threatening tool, as it may collect the user browsing data and search history to display relevant advertisements. This PUP typically comes bundled with other software or freeware programs and gets installed without the user’s notice. Therefore, to avoid unwanted programs, it is always recommended to use the custom installation mode.
