Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

EstasAzulCorrupta is a virus that sabotages Microsoft Office files by inserting invalid header information, which makes the files unusable. The files selected always are of a document or Office-related format, but, otherwise, appear to be semi-random. Like most viruses, EstasAzulCorrupta doesn't display itself in an obvious program-based format that would allow you to find or remove EstasAzulCorrupta easily, and SpywareRemove.com malware researchers strongly encourage the use of anti-malware products for deleting EstasAzulCorrupta viruses. After EstasAzulCorrupta has been removed, all relevant files can be recovered through separate methods.
The Creeping Corruption Against Your Document Files
In a throwback to past eras of the threats industry, where unreliable software was used for destroying data as much as for profit, EstasAzulCorrupta is a virus that corrupts the header segments of various Windows files. Affected file types include TXT, PDF (a standard Adobe brand format), DOC, XLS (Excel spreadsheets) and PPT (PowerPoint presentations). It is worth noting that, as far as malware analysts have determined, EstasAzulCorrupta doesn't appear to target the latest file formats such as XML (the preferred file format for modern versions of PowerPoint).
While EstasAzulCorrupta's header-corrupting attack doesn't change the underlying file type of the affected file, EstasAzulCorrupta does make the file unusable. Currently, EstasAzulCorrupta does not appear to be targeted at modern institutions or be designed for taking advantage of the latest in business or government-targeted PC sabotage attacks (such as using e-mail attachments for distribution). As a result, EstasAzulCorrupta's overall distribution is estimated to remain very low, although a low distribution rate doesn't necessarily imply that EstasAzulCorrupta is incapable of harming even a modern PC once EstasAzulCorrupta establishes a foothold on your hard drive.
Modernizing Your PC's Defenses Against an Old School Virus
Because an EstasAzulCorrupta virus's attack only affects the headers of the compromised files, a variety of file recovery applications can be helpful for reversing the damage caused by EstasAzulCorrupta and getting your files back to normal. However, SpywareRemove.com malware researchers especially recommend keeping remote backups of all crucial files, which may allow you to resolve both the attacks of viruses like EstasAzulCorrupta and other PC threats (such as Police Ransomware Trojans) with very few problems. Updating all applicable software, and especially Microsoft Office programs, also can provide various baseline defenses against EstasAzulCorrupta's attacks, which are effective primarily on outdated file types.
Before you can recover your files from EstasAzulCorrupta's modifications, you should remove EstasAzulCorrupta from your PC. Viruses like EstasAzulCorrupta conceal their code by infecting unrelated files, and, as a direct result, appropriate methods of deleting EstasAzulCorrupta usually require anti-virus tools that are capable of scanning infected files and removing unsafe code without harming the overall files. Deleting EstasAzulCorrupta-infected files never should be necessary for removing EstasAzulCorrupta regardless of the extent of its contamination.
