ExperienceLine
Adware applications have become a rather major issue for Mac users – one of the main reasons for this is that many people consider the macOS to be a very secure operating system that does not need to be protected by an anti-malware tool. However, this is not true, and you can rest assured that investing in an OSX-compatible anti-malware software suite is a great idea – Mac devices are being targeted by various adware such as the ExperienceLine, but there also are more high-profile threats to be worried about. In recent years, anti-virus vendors have reported dozens of threatening Mac backdoor Trojans such as EvilOSX and EggShell.
The ExperienceLine is not threatening, but its presence on your Mac device is likely to be a very annoying thing to deal with. This adware will look for active Web browser windows, and then inject advertisements into every tab you use. This means that you will be exposed to an overwhelming number of advertisements whenever you browse YouTube, Facebook, Amazon, Twitter, Reddit or any other site you can think of. Often, these advertisements may prevent you from accessing certain sections of the website.
The ExperienceLine adware may be brought to your system via a fake download, a shady software bundle or a misleading advertisement. The safest way to make sure that you will never end up with such software on your Mac system is to use a regularly updated anti-malware tool.
