Exploit:Java/CVE-2012-5076.BBW is a generic detection for a piece of malicious code that exploits a vulnerability in the Java virtual machine. Successful exploitation results in remote code execution. When a PC user hits a website that contains the application using a computer that is running a vulnerable version of Java, security software may be bypassed, enabling arbitrary code to be executed. While being loaded, Exploit:Java/CVE-2012-5076.BBW checks if the computer is running Windows, and if so, installs itself on the targeted machine. Exploit:Java/CVE-2012-5076.BBW may be bundled with other non-malicious Java class applets. Exploit:Java/CVE-2012-5076.BBW drops and runs arbitrary files. If the exploitation is successful, Exploit:Java/CVE-2012-5076.BBW strives to drop and run a malicious program from a particular domain, sent as a parameter to the applet.
