Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

FamilyGurus is a suspicious Web extension that you may not want to install. FamilyGurus' developers claim that it will be useful to its clients because FamilyGurus shows practical family advice. In fact, FamilyGurus is adware that tries to make profits from your activity when you are surfing the Web. This questionable add-on may generate a variety of pop-ups, pop-unders, banners and in-text ads. FamilyGurus may even embed videos that may increase the loading time substantially. The commercial materials may appear in all of your Web clients, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. FamilyGurus may have access to browsing cookies. Most of the sites you open may install these small pieces of data in your system automatically. This way, the adware may understand what products may draw your attention. Some of the new ads may be labeled as 'Powered by FamilyGurus.' It is recommended not to click on ads with this slogan for security reasons. FamilyGurus has a wide partner network, and no one can confirm that all of the promoted pages are safe. Some sites may offer fake updates to the visitors or encourage unsuspecting users to contact con artists. To increase the traffic towards affiliated platforms even further, this extension may manipulate search results from the legitimate providers. FamilyGurus may disguise the links to its partners as the most accurate results. FamilyGurus may even cause automatic redirections. If you didn't install this extension intentionally from its official page, FamilyGurus might have entered thanks to the bundling method alongside third-party freeware. If you feel that FamilyGurus doesn't benefit you in any way, and instead ruins your surfing sessions, you should consider using a credible security application to delete FamilyGurus.
