FantasticDiscounts is adware that has only one function, which is to create advertising materials in your web clients. The developers of this questionable extension claim that it will help the user find the best discounts and sales, which in turn should save him money. However, as a typical example of a family of ad-oriented plugins, FantasticDiscounts helps its creators far more than it assists the client. The course of action is not too hard to understand. First, the adware creates many pop-ups, banners and interstitial ads that may lead to the partner pages. These commercial materials may appear in the larger part of the sites you attend. Moreover, they may be seen in all of the present web browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. If the user clicks on some of the ads, the creators of FantasticDiscounts will receive referral commissions from the owners of the promoted sites. The main problem comes from the fact that legitimate and safe sites may not use such approach to attract visitors. The commercial materials displayed by FantasticDiscounts may sometimes drag you to unsafe parts of the cyberspace. Some people also complain that the adware may slow down the web clients or causes freezes. These functionality issues may happen because the videos, animations, and the screen-covering interstitial ads may seize some of the resources. Even if your PC is powerful, and FantasticDiscounts doesn't impede its performance, the presence of such large amount of ads may irritate you. If you cannot recall authorizing the installation of the adware, then it most likely entered bundled with freeware. You don't have to keep this extension if it bothers you because a powerful anti-malware tool can delete it easily.
