Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

The Free WiFi Hotspot is a program that claims to provide users with the ability to turn their laptops into WiFi hotspots that can be used to share the Internet with other devices in the vicinity. However, the Free WiFi Hotspot may often end up being installed not just on laptops, but also on desktop computers that don't possess the ability to transmit WiFi signal, therefore turning the Free WiFi Hotspot into a useless application that does not offer any beneficial features. If you are wondering why a desktop user would install the Free WiFi Hotspot, then we have the answer to this question – because this software may often be featured in software bundles that ask for the user's permission to install 3rd-party applications on their computers. Unfortunately, many PC users tend to rush through the installation process, and they may sometimes authorize the installation of the Free WiFi Hotspot or similar software that they don't need or want on their computers unknowingly.
The Free WiFi Hotspot software is detected as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) by reputable computer security software. The good news is that PUPs are not threatening in general, and their installation is usually associated with some minor inconveniences which, thankfully, are considered harmful or potentially threatening rarely.
If you have the Free WiFi Hotspot installed on your computer and you are not finding this software to be particularly useful, then you might want to take action to uninstall it. Since the Free WiFi Hotspot does not utilize any self-preservation techniques, it should be possible to remove it by using the Windows Control Panel and uninstalling it from there manually. However, users who don't wish to trouble themselves with manual removal should know that they can rely on potent anti-virus software to help them remove this PUP's files from their computers.
