FunSafeTab is a browser add-on that you may be tempted to install because it promises to furnish you with a wide range of useful features that you can access through your new tab page. However, the catch is that you have to allow FunSafeTab to apply changes to your Web browser's settings – while the changes this add-on makes are not a security concern, they may have an unpropitious impact on your Web browsing experience.

The FunSafeTab extension will replace your new tab with Search.funsafetabsearch.com – a page that contains links to online note-keeping services, shopping sites and social media. It also boasts a search field that can be used to search the Web – however, you should be aware that the search.funsafetabsearch.com search results may prioritize promoting sponsored links and advertisements.

FunSafeTab is a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) and its removal is recommended. There are two main reasons for this:

• It cannot be used without agreeing to use an alternative new tab page whose priority is to generate revenue for FunSafeTab's developers.
• The new tab page that FunSafeTab promotes does not offer irreplaceable features and may, in fact, worsen your Web browsing experience.

If you have the FunSafeTab installed, you should complete its removal with the use of a suitable PC security scanner.
