Get-a-Clip Ads

Posted: October 9, 2015

Get-a-Clip is a tool that at first may seem quite handy and helpful but may disappoint your afterward. The main feature that it offers is the possibility to download videos from popular platforms. As you probably know, many such sites, including YouTube, don't offer this service directly. For this reason, some users may expect Get-a-Clip to assist them when they want to keep some clips on their hard disk for offline viewing. As it seems, this web plugin indeed creates a download button below the video windows. The problem is that Get-a-Clip is adware, and it may insert more than that button. This extension may generate some ads that may be too aggressive. The unnamed company that stands behind this software actually informs the users about these commercial materials. However, many people prefer to skip the 'Terms and Conditions,' which means they may be negatively surprised when Get-a-Clip gets access. The ads by this video downloader may replace the page-based ads that you are used to seeing. As a result, you may notice the pop-ups, banners, interstitial ads and targeted videos displayed by this adware during your online sessions consistently. Not only this behavior may be annoying to you but it also may interfere with the usual functionality of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. The problems that you may face are not created by Get-a-Clip intentionally but happen because the multimedia elements may use system resources. You may notice a slower speed or occasional freezes and crashes. You also should take in mind that some of the ads may lead to unsafe locations, so it is best to delete the adware.
