Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

GifsGalore is a browser add-on that is part of the software portfolio of Mindspark Interactive Network. This software publisher is behind a large number of browser utilities whose purpose is to allow users to have access to a broad range of features, services, and tools that they may find handy in certain situations. As the name of the product in question suggests, GifsGalore is meant to give users the ability to discover, create and share GIFs directly from their Web browser quickly. While this feature might sound like a great thing to have at your disposal, you should know that GifsGalore's installation is known to tamper with the browser's configuration to replace the new tab page with a website linked to Mindspark.
GifsGalore does not exhibit any threatening behavior so that the installation of this software is not something you should consider to be a security concern. However, it is likely that some users might be annoyed by the changes GifsGalore might bring to their browser's settings. Tests show that the current version of GifsGalore replaces Chrome's new tab page with a search engine linked to MyWay.com. The new tab page uses design features linked to GifsGalore, and it provides users with more than just a plain search feature. Users of GifsGalore also will discover that the new tab contains links to popular Web destinations, GIF creation services, a meme creator and other similar tools.
The MyWay page linked to GifsGalore works reliably, and it does not seem to contain any ads that the users might find annoying. The search results are also free of sponsored links, but users should not ignore that the results that MyWay.com provides are likely to be different than the ones displayed by Yahoo, Bing or Google.
GifsGalore is considered to be a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) – a safe application whose installation sometimes may cause annoying side effects (such as changing the Chrome new tab page). Users who are not happy with GifsGalore's presence on their computers should consider the removal of this utility. This task can be accomplished either manually, or with the assistance of a suitable PC security tool.
