Google Chrome Redirect Virus
The Google Chrome Redirect Virus is an issue, which may affect users of both Windows and macOS. This 'virus' is not technically dangerous since it is designed to modify Google Chrome's settings in order to trigger redirects or to replace the search aggregator, new tab page, and homepage. However, the fact that the Google Chrome Redirect Virus may not be an immediate threat does not mean that you should let it work on your computer. If you encounter unexpected redirects while using Google Chrome, then we suggest that you run a suitable PC security to identify and remove the intrusive application from your computer.
The redirects which you may experience because of the unwanted software on your computer will not only hinder you browsing experience – they may also end up exposing you to harmful content like scams, malicious software, and deceptive sites. We advise you to ignore random websites that showed up in your Web browser unexpectedly and to take the required measures to identify and remove the intrusive software causing the issue.
