Google.isearchinfo.com is a search engine site that imitates Google as a means of acquiring easy traffic-based revenue. By itself, this may not sound very harmful, but malware experts also have spotted browser-hijacking attacks that promote Google.isearchinfo.com through unsafe changes to your web browser. Since these unwanted redirects to Google.isearchinfo.com make your web-browsing experience unsafe and can prevent you from loading desirable sites, anti-malware software should be used to expunge Google.isearchinfo.com-related malware as it's detected. Interaction with links from Google.isearchinfo.com, while not guaranteed to be harmful, also should be considered risky and is inadvisable in general if you value avoiding potentially hostile web content.

Why What's in a Name isn't Everything About a Website's Reputation

Although Google.isearchinfo.com appears to have used the choice of 'Google' for a sub-domain to make itself look like an affiliate of that famous search engine, Google.isearchinfo.com actually is a sub-division of a confirmed spam domain. Because Google.isearchinfo.com is designed to look similar to Google.com, you may mistake mistake Google.isearchinfo.com for Google at first, although SpywareRemove.com malware experts warn that Google.isearchinfo.com may not provide the same quality (or safety) of search results.

Like any site, Google.isearchinfo.com can be loaded manually, but most of Google.isearchinfo.com's traffic appears to be accidental – due to a series of browser redirects and hijacks that force your browser to load Google.isearchinfo.com. SpywareRemove.com malware experts consider all forms of browser hijackers to be dangerous to any PC's web-browsing security, including those that promote Google.isearchinfo.com.

Symptoms that you may experience while your PC is infected by Google.isearchinfo.com-related malware include:

  • Redirects to Google.isearchinfo.com when you try to use any other search engines (especially, for obvious reasons, Google.com).
  • Having your homepage set to Google.isearchinfo.com.
  • Changes to your browser's web page content that insert additional advertisements or other unrelated content, such as links and/or pop-ups.

Getting Your Searches Back to the Real Deal

Browser hijackers that use Google.isearchinfo.com-related attacks will refuse to uninstall themselves easily and can't be combated by changing your browser (or your browser's settings). However, SpywareRemove.com malware research team warns against allowing PC threats associated with Google.isearchinfo.com to remain on your computer indefinitely since this can result in unintentional exposure to hostile web content and other attacks.

Appropriate anti-malware scanners should be able to remove browser hijackers for Google.isearchinfo.com and other sites without any meaningful trouble. Ideally, you should do this with a minimum of contact with sites or advertisements that are promoted by Google.isearchinfo.com, given its suspicious history and the likelihood of potential contact with disease vectors for other types of malware. SpywareRemove.com malware research team also notes that, in some cases you may need to readjust your browser's settings after deleting your Google.isearchinfo.com browser hijacker. Browser hijackers for Google.isearchinfo.com have, so far, been seen in most versions of Windows and haven't been associated with restrictions to a specific type of web browser.
