HDD Control is a fake optimization tool which claims to provide proactive data protection. HDD Control spreads by using Trojans to block legitimate software programs. This rogue program also produces popup warnings claiming that the disk is inaccessible and has lots of errors. The message falsely reports that ram memory is in danger of being lost and that the registry is under threat as well. The corrupt program will then urge unwary computer users to purchase a copy of HDD Control to repair the system. HDD Control poses a severe threat to PC security and should be removed before it starts wreaking havoc in the system.
