HDStreamSearch

The HDStreamSearch browser add-on promises great things to users, but it fails to deliver anything useful. Instead of providing entertaining, high-definition content, HDStreamSearch brings undesired changes to the Web browser's configuration. The goal of this extension seems to promote the websites Portal.hdstreamsearch.com and Feed.hdstreamsearch.com by configuring Web browsers to use them as the default new tab page and search engine, respectively.

HDStreamSearch is considered a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP,) and it should not be treated as a harmful application. However, there is no doubt that HDStreamSearch is useless entirely, and it does not offer any redeemable features. The add-on's sole purpose is to generate traffic for the Web pages mentioned above.

Uninstalling HDStreamSearch is the best course of action. While you can uninstall HDStreamSearch manually through the Web browser's add-on manager, it is best to do it with the help of a security scanner capable of eliminating all of HDStreamSearch's components permanently.
