Holy Bible Daily is the name of a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) and browser hijacker. If your browser’s homepage and new tab page are swapped and redirect to Holy Bible Daily suddenly, you also have the hijacker on your system.

While Potentially Unwanted Programs are a category of malware that bears a relatively low-risk level compared to ransomware and destructive viruses, PUPs should still be cleaned from your system to ensure optimal performance.

Once on your system, the Holy Bible Daily will make your homepage and any new tabs you open show Holybibledaily dot com/homepage instead of your original settings for homepage and new tab content. The new page you will see is more or less a search box with a randomly selected biblical quote under the search box.

When writing this post, we also tried using the search form on that page, but we got no result. The page just eats up your search query, shows no results page, and simply reloads the empty search box, placing a new random Bible quote under the search box.

PUPs like the Holy Bible Daily are often found bundled with software packages, including some freeware installers. Users should pay close attention to any additional offers and checkboxes that may appear during the installation process and opt-out of any superfluous offers.
