Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

HTML/Framer.FM is a member of HTML/Framer, a classification for malicious framing components for various websites. HTML/Framer.FM and similar PC threats are often used to redirect you to fraudulent domains or towards attacks that can install hostile software onto your PC, and it's recommended for you to scan your computer with suitable anti-malware software after any potential HTML/Framer.FM assault. Because HTML/Framer.FM attacks are not guaranteed to show any obvious symptoms, SpywareRemove.com malware research team encourages the proactive usage of both suitable security programs and safe web-browsing settings to thwart any HTML/Framer.FM attacks that strike when you're unwittingly exposed to a harmful site. In some cases, HTML/Framer.FM may also be a false positive caused due to unusual website design, although you should be very careful to be certain that this is the case before you set your security software to ignore a HTML/Framer.FM alert.
How HTML/Framer.FM Crept into Your Browser
HTML/Framer.FM, as a member of a family of malicious .html components like HTML/Framer.CP or HTML/Framer.H, is inherently attached to websites that you're browsing, rather than being a PC threat that's installed on your hard drive. However, in some cases, HTML/Framer.FM may be a result of an infection that alters the websites that you view – either by adding malicious code to normal sites or by redirecting you to hostile websites. Hostile sites that host HTML/Framer.FM may look almost identical to 'safe' ones, albeit with minor discrepancies in their web addresses. SpywareRemove.com malware experts warn that most such sites are used to install malicious software or phish for private information to steal.
Due to HTML/Framer.FM's strong ties with hostile software, you should always scan your entire PC after you see any HTML/Framer.FM warnings appear. While HTML/Framer.FM warnings are specific to AVG-brand security software, other brands of security software will use their own aliases for detecting hostile web components like HTML/Framer.FM. SpywareRemove.com malware analysts stress that if you're certain that the website that you're visiting is safe, chances are high that your PC has been infected by an online threat that's modifying your web-browsing experience in negative ways.
What You Can Do to Wipe HTML/Framer.FM Off Your Browser Window
In some cases, HTML/Framer.FM may be a false positive that's caused by unusual website structure. SpywareRemove.com malware researchers recommend that you treat all HTML/Framer.FM warnings as legitimate until you verify otherwise, even if you don't see any other symptoms of PC threats attacking your computer. However, if you're absolutely certain that HTML/Framer.FM alerts are inaccurate for a specific website, you can set your anti-malware software to ignore that site and continue about your business as usual.
If you're convinced that your HTML/Framer.FM warning is real, you should scan your entire hard drive to make certain that HTML/Framer.FM isn't the result of a pre-installed PC threat and hasn't installed anything onto your computer without your permission. Since HTML/Framer.FM is a website-based PC threat, having strong browser settings that block exploits, as well as keeping your browser updated, are precautions that can be almost as useful as having actual anti-malware products to protect your computer from HTML/Framer.FM attacks.
