Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.

Hwopt is a suspicious Web extension that may create many new pop-ups, banners and in-text ads, which do not originate from the currently viewed Web page. These programs are very common. Their creators use them to profit from the Web actions of the PC user. Security specialists call these questionable plugins adware, which is short for ad-supported software. Hwopt is not technically 'supported' by ads because Hwopt has not other functions besides injecting additional commercial materials. Their purpose is simply to make partner sites more visited places. The owners of sponsored sites are happy to get more visitors, to whom they may attempt to sell products. On the other hand, the creators of Hwopt claim referral commissions for each successful transfer. Unfortunately, this advertising process may lead to a series of Web-related problems for the PC user. To begin with, not all people understand in time that they are about to install the adware. The bundling delivery tactic is among the easiest and most commonly used entry points. When you install freeware and ignore the details, you may agree to install additional components alongside the main software unwillingly. Hwopt is a cross-compatible add-on, which means that Hwopt may affect Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer simultaneously. This dubious extension may substitute the homepage with an unreliable search platform automatically. If it happens, you should not conduct any searches on it because you may encounter too many sponsored results. The artificially inserted links may lead to sites unrelated to your query, some of which may even be unsafe. The adware is associated with many coupons and discounts that may lead you to suspicious platforms. Moreover, the presence of commercial materials with multimedia elements may worsen the functionality of the browsers. If you do not appreciate the changes that Hwopt may cause, you should delete Hwopt with a renowned anti-malware solution.
