'IFC Global Development Funding Program' Email Scam

Email tactics have been around ever since email messaging became a thing, and, unfortunately, there are still users who fall victim to the fraudulent schemes that online con artists use. One of the latest email tactics to be reported online is referred to as the 'IFC Global Development Funding Program' email scam. The scheme begins when the target receives a message titled 'IFC Fund Approved.'

According to the contents of this email, the recipient has been selected from a list of millions of candidates, and they are able to receive a reward of up to $1,500,000 from the 'IFC Global Development Funding Program.' Needless to say, nobody is giving away millions to random people, and this should be one of the first red flags about this email.

Of course, the tactic aims to collect information about the victim, and, in some cases, it might ask the recipient to pay a tax needed to process the transaction. Needless to say, anyone who agrees to send money to the fraudsters will not receive a response for them, and they will end up losing their money.
