Ifishplayer by Tuguu SL is a questionable video player, which may not be as helpful to you as you could expect. The experts classify it as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) because it performs in a manner that many people don't enjoy. The developers of ifishplayer claim that their product will allow the clients to play online videos directly in the program. Presumably, this way the users will save some time because they will not have to open YouTube or Vimeo to watch their favorite videos. However, since the web clients are working most of the time either way, the benefits of ifishplayer don't seem to be too many. The lack of real functionality is not the only reason for not against keeping this video player. You should know that it also creates some stubborn advertisements in all available browsers. The majority of PC users don't appreciate this behavior and prefer to remove ifishplayer. In an online survey, over 80% of the respondents voted that they don't want to have this PUP on their computers. This decision is easy to understand because the newly created banners, pop-ups and interstitial ads tend to be pretty annoying. You are about to notice them most of the time when you are online, no matter if your preferred browser is Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer. The commercial materials may distract you because they are usually eye-catching. They may also disturb the normal functionality of the web clients. The most common complaint is that the sites load more slowly than usual, but occasional freezes are also possible. If you don't want to risk entering some dangerous page, you should avoid the pop-ups and banners by ifishplayer. The best way to delete this PUP is to use a reliable anti-malware program, or otherwise some of its files may remain.
