Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

IicoConverter is a Potentially Unwanted Program that harbors traits most often seen in programs that are non-beneficial for your PC. As a browser add-on, IicoConverter may launch advertisements, redirect your online searches or cause other forms of interference with your Web-surfing experience, but removing IicoConverter is always recommended, even when IicoConverter doesn't show any problematic symptoms. Because malware researchers have confirmed that IicoConverter does take steps to prevent itself from being removed or disabled, the use of anti-malware tools for removing IicoConverter is even less optional than usual for most PC users.
The Extension that Converts Your Browser into a Conundrum
IicoConverter is one of multiple Chrome add-ons. Besides IicoConverter (so far, only seen in its 2.2 version), other programs from the same company noted by malware analysts include WatchItAdBlockee and Live Player 3.2. Since all of these add-ons solely have been seen affecting Chrome, they may very well be re-skins or clones of each other. Because all of these programs may be installed through automated methods and rarely will allow you to remove them directly, malware researchers recommend treating IicoConverter 2.2 and all related PUPs as being potentially threatening to your PC.
Other Enterprise Policy add-ons often are installed through bundles with movie-streaming add-ons, although malware researchers have yet to confirm that particular distribution exploit for IicoConverter. Some of the symptoms that may be experienced by victims of IicoConverter and related unwanted programs include:
- Browser slowdowns and other performance problems.
- Unusual advertisements; IicoConverter especially is known for its pop-up advertisements.
- Browser redirects and other hijackings, such as a modified homepage or search engine.
Getting out of IicoConverter's 'Total Conversion' for Chrome
IicoConverter may only affect Chrome, which is consistent with the history of other Enterprise Policy add-ons. Even so, malware experts wouldn't recommend switching to a different Web browser; doing so may stall IicoConverter's symptoms, but the security issues inherent to IicoConverter's installation still will be on your PC. There is some evidence that IicoConverter may be installed along with other adware and, potentially, threats, which makes dealing with IicoConverter appropriately an issue.
IicoConverter does try to stop the PC's user from uninstalling IicoConverter. However, its means of doing so are sufficiently primitive that malware researchers could recommend most competent anti-malware products for deleting IicoConverter without any extra steps being necessary. Even so, preventing IicoConverter's installation at all, obviously, is best for Chrome and the tranquillity of your PC, and you may desire to examine the risks, the next time you download an add-on that's meant to let you accomplish legally-questionable things – like streaming sports games.
