Immunizr is a bogus anti-spyware application that uses warning messages about nonexistent PC threats to make you spend money on buying the full version of Immunizr. However, SpywareRemove.com malware experts have found that even the full version of Immunizr (as well as its 'free' version) lacks the ability to 'search & destroy' spyware, viruses or other types of harmful software. Following Immunizr's recommendations will not only place your finances in jeopardy but can even harm your operating system, and it's strongly encouraged for you to ignore any warnings or alerts that are derived from Immunizr. Immunizr infections may also cause other symptoms, such as browser hijacks, software instability or harmful system settings, but these attacks can all be undone if you remove Immunizr with a real anti-malware application.

How Immunizr Creeps Onto Your PC with False Alerts Waving

Immunizr is marketed by immunizr.com as a supposedly award-winning product, but Immunizr has, in fact, not earned a single award from any reputable organization and has acquired an extremely shady history. Any visit to Immunizr's site, no matter how brief, does have the potential to install Immunizr or related Trojans via browser exploits, and for your own safety, SpywareRemove.com malware experts suggest that you scan your PC for malicious programs after such an event. Other points of exposure to Immunizr can include compromised software packages that include Immunizr and advertisements that use hostile script exploits in JavaScript or Flash.

Once Immunizr is on your computer, Immunizr will launch itself without your consent and refuse to be turned off, even if Immunizr appears to be inactive. Common Immunizr-related issues that SpywareRemove.com malware analysts recommend you to be on guard against include:

  • Fake alerts that warn you about a wide range of different problems with your PC, including supposed spyware infections, damaged files or corrupted programs. Any system problems that you experience are, in reality, the fault of Immunizr and related infections.
  • Browser redirect attacks that redirect you from an unrelated site to immunizr.com. These browser hijacks can also block security-related sites with fake error screens to prevent you from acquiring a program that could delete Immunizr.
  • Blocked security-related programs or other software malfunctions, including fake error messages.

The Software Booster Shot Against Immunizr

Because Immunizr infections may also be accompanied by rootkits, dropper trojans and other PC threats, you should remove Immunizr by using an anti-malware program that's capable of detecting a broad range of malicious applications. SpywareRemove.com malware research team also recommends that you update any scanner that you use, prior to deleting Immunizr with it, since this will give you the best chance of identifying and removing all of Immunizr's components. If Immunizr blocks you from using security-related software, a Safe Mode reboot, renaming the program file or rebooting from a portable USB drive, are all options that can help you avoid Immunizr's automatic startup.

To protect your PC from future attacks by Immunizr and other types of fake anti-spyware programs, keep your browser up-to-date, use cautious web-browsing settings and always keep an anti-malware program at-the-ready to detect PC threats as they attack your computer. After removing Immunizr, you may also want to check your firewall, network and browser settings for tampering and undo any negative changes that Immunizr may have caused.
