Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

JS/TrojanDownloader.Iframe.NKE is a browser exploit that allows criminals to install malicious software by way of compromised a website's HTML pages. Because JS/TrojanDownloader.Iframe.NKE attacks may show few or even no symptoms when they occur, SpywareRemove.com malware researchers recommend that you guard against JS/TrojanDownloader.Iframe.NKE by using safe browser settings and by having anti-malware software to detect JS/TrojanDownloader.Iframe.NKE attacks when they happen. Since JS/TrojanDownloader.Iframe.NKE was recently ranked among the top ten threats for November 2011 by independent sources, the possibility of attack by JS/TrojanDownloader.Iframe.NKE can be considered to be high, especially if you visit suspicious sites – such sites can include pirated-download sites, scamware sites and sites that feature large amounts of advertisements by third-parties. PC threats that are installed by JS/TrojanDownloader.Iframe.NKE should, in ordinary circumstances, always be removed by anti-malware scanners that are designed for such tasks.
JS/TrojanDownloader.Iframe.NKE – a Favorite Delivery Method for PC Threats
In most cases, JS/TrojanDownloader.Iframe.NKE may not even appear to be a visible form of content, but this doesn't stop JS/TrojanDownloader.Iframe.NKE from being a well-used deliveryman for malignant software that you will not want to have anywhere near your PC. Like many other browser exploits, JS/TrojanDownloader.Iframe.NKE is used to install PC threats without your consent – in JS/TrojanDownloader.Iframe.NKE's case, by directing your web browser to a pre-specified URL that hosts the PC threat in question. Because JS/TrojanDownloader.Iframe.NKE can be instructed to load arbitrary URLs and install a wide range of malicious software, SpywareRemove.com malware experts note that the possibilities of a JS/TrojanDownloader.Iframe.NKE payload are almost unlimited:
- Rootkits that infect normal system processes and can avoid deletion with ease unless exceptional measures are taken to allow your anti-malware software to remove all of its components.
- Backdoor Trojans that create security holes in your firewall or network. These holes can allow remote hackers to take over your PC, launch DDoS attacks, steal information or destroy files.
- Spyware that specializes in theft of personal info, particularly-including financial information or info that's related to account logins.
- Rogue security programs that create fake warnings to bully you into buying their fraudulent anti-virus services.
- Browser hijackers that, like JS/TrojanDownloader.Iframe.NKE itself, redirect you to malicious sites.
What to Do to Keep JS/TrojanDownloader.Iframe.NKE from Creeping into Your Browser
Since JS/TrojanDownloader.Iframe.NKE has no visible symptoms by itself and may install a payload of PC threats that, themselves, show many types of symptoms, SpywareRemove.com malware researchers suggest that you detect JS/TrojanDownloader.Iframe.NKE attacks with anti-malware products. First and foremost, protecting yourself from JS/TrojanDownloader.Iframe.NKE should always include avoidance of risky websites, although JS/TrojanDownloader.Iframe.NKE may also be injected into safe websites by criminals.
Disabling scripts, using high security settings for your browser and having available anti-malware software can also be useful secondary methods of keeping your PC safe from JS/TrojanDownloader.Iframe.NKE attacks. Anti-malware products may identify JS/TrojanDownloader.Iframe.NKE by any of its aliases. SpywareRemove.com malware researchers have noted some oft its alias, which include Trojan-Clicker.JS.Agent.ev, JS/IFrame.KT and Mal/Iframe-F.
