Karatoh is considered to be an adware threat that once installed on a computer may embed an add-on, plug-in or browser extension into Web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox and other popular Web browsers. The main purpose of Karatoh may be to gain online profit via ads carrying discount coupons, deals, sales and other online offers that may be shown on a computer system while PC users are surfing the Internet. Karatoh may also display intrusive ads above any search results in any well-known search provider especially when using Google. Karatoh may circulate and enter the PC as an additional tool packaged with free applications or third-party software that computer users download and install from unprotected download websites. Karatoh may also proliferate via spam emails and links from social networking websites that may be used to deliver Karatoh's ads.
