High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.

If your Web clients start generating ads by Kozzoo, you should know that some questionable extension probably entered without your knowledge. These commercial materials may not originate from the Web pages themselves but from the mentioned add-on, which the experts classify as adware. The behavior of this suspicious program is typical for all ad-oriented extensions. Its main purpose is to transfer you to sponsored third-party domains that seek to grow in popularity. Some of them may be shopping platforms or sites associated with paid Web services. Unfortunately, very often the administrators of compromised pages may abuse adware extensions. They may present their platform as safe but later may start spreading highly suspicious applications that may even possess corrupted codes. Clicking on the ads by Kozzoo also may load deceitful or fraudulent sites, so it is advisable to ignore all pop-ups, banners or interstitial ads. There are two main methods that are used for the distribution of this unreliable extension. You may install it willingly from kozzoo.com, which is a platform for online games. Allegedly, this plugin should help you find your favorite games no matter what genre you enjoy the most. If you didn't download any content from this site, then the adware probably entered in a software bundle where the main component was likely some freeware. Immediately after the installation takes place, Kozzoo may attach to Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. The suspicious software may replace your homepage with an untrustworthy search provider associated with manipulated results. Kozzoo also may include sponsored links in Google and Bing. It is not necessary for all of them to possess a slogan that distinguishes them from the legit results. You should not be too surprised if the marketing elements by this adware correspond to your current interests. Kozzoo may keep an eye on all searches that you perform, and read your surfing history. If all of a sudden your Web clients start working sluggishly, it may be happening because the multimedia ads may consume quite some resources. The experts suggest you use a dedicated security utility to delete the adware efficiently.
