Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

LuckShops is a fake search engine that displays generic results for its partnered websites. Although deceptive in terms of its presentation and search feature, LuckShops isn't considered a threatening website, as a result of lacking any ties with harmful software or similar PC threats. Malware researchers recommend ignoring any links offered by LuckShops along with ignoring its existence entirely, in general. All browser symptoms that may be related to LuckShops-promoting adware (such as having your search page locked to LuckShops) should be removed by a good brand of PC security software, which will let your Web browser resume its normal behavior.
Browsing the Empty Shelves of a 'Shopping' Site
Although LuckShops is a site that claims that its searches are 'always for less' prices, any online shoppers who use LuckShops's results as guidelines may find themselves to be surprisingly unlucky. LuckShops's link directory and search function both are mere advertising redirectors that display lists of generic or affiliated partner sites, none of which are specific to the topics being searched for by its users. Because LuckShops is a site without any real services of value, malware researchers wouldn't recommend visiting LuckShops or taking any links promoted by LuckShops at face value.
Adware may promote LuckShops through pop-ups, changes to your search settings, hijacked homepage and other browser symptoms. The full range of Web browsers being modified by LuckShops adware still is being investigated, although most popular browsers, particularly for Windows OSes, should be considered vulnerable.
Closing Up the Shop that's Unlucky for Your Browser
LuckShops doesn't host unsafe content that would endanger your PC, although its promotional links may include some threatening content, such as phishing attacks or Potentially Unwanted Programs. Even though visiting LuckShops isn't threatening, malware experts would consider avoidance of LuckShops to be best for your online safety. Adware programs that promote LuckShops through any means also should be considered as potential threats to your PC's security.
LuckShops adware may show itself through symptoms towards your Web browser, but, in most circumstances, may include some components that are external from your browser of choice. A complete removal of LuckShops adware and other browser-based PC threats often requires using anti-malware tools, or, at a minimum, anti-adware software that specializes in deletion of these low-level threats. These means of deleting LuckShops will allow you to reset any changed settings, such as those responsible for hijacks of your default homepage or search engine, in addition to eliminating a potential security loophole.
