Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Magic-Bar's publisher describes this utility as a one-of-a-kind Chrome extension, which can improve the users' Web browsing experience by introducing them to a customizable and attractive replacement for their previous new tab page. The website that Magic-Bar promotes features an interchangeable background, as well as quick links to weather and clock services that some users might find to be handy. However, the Magic-Bar software is categorized as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP), and just about any up-to-date anti-virus application will recommend this tool's removal.
While using Magic-Bar is not unsafe necessarily, you should keep in mind that the search engine it sets as the default new tab page might not always bring reliable results. It is possible that the website that Magic-Bar promotes might expose users to unwanted advertising and, in addition to this, the search results it promotes might include sponsored links. Another dubious thing about Magic-Bar and its publisher is that the same browser add-on appears to be distributed under different names despite offering the same feature:
- Playbar Chrome Extension by Playbar.biz
- Solo-Bar Chrome Extension by Solo-bar.net
- Web-Bar Chrome Extension by Web-bar.biz
- Work-Bar CHrome Extension by Work-bar.biz
If you have Magic-Bar or any of the alternatives listed above installed on your computer, then you are probably one of the users who experienced the unwanted changes that these add-ons might introduce to the configuration of modern Web browsers. The good news is that all changes applied by Magic-Bar can be resolved by uninstalling the extension, which can be done either manually, or with the assistance of a credible PC security application.
