ManagerPages

ManagerPages is an intrusive Mac application that users may download accidentally since it tends to be distributed via software bundles, fake downloads, deceptive advertisements and other misleading content. Installing ManagerPages will not result in any noticeable differences immediately, and users may only see the name 'ManagerPages' in their lists of installed applications. However, trying to uninstall the application from there will not end up in success because it may have spread its files to multiple hidden directories. It also gains persistence by setting up a new 'Launch Daemon' to ensure that it will start when the system boots up.

It is important to note that ManagerPages is not threatening. It is identified as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that typically brings changes, which impact the default system's Web browser. ManagerPages is known for promoting low-quality, 3rd-party websites, which will be set up as the default new tab page or the search engine of the Web browser.

PUPs like ManagerPages may be difficult to remove, but at least they are not threatening. If you think that your Web browser is behaving weirdly, or notice 'ManagerPages' in your list of applications, then you should take the required steps to fix your Mac. Thankfully, removing PUPs and reverting any changes they made is easy – simply run a reputable macOS anti-virus tool to identify and eliminate all intrusive software.
