Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

MapsVoyage is a browser add-on, which offers to provide its users with local maps, driving and routing instructions, as well as current road condition details. While this functionality might sound useful, the terms of service (ToS) agreement listed on MapsVoyage's official website shows several worrisome points:
- The extension requires permission to display in-text, pop-up/under, shopping, traditional, and banner advertisements.
- The extension will include a toolbar in all active browser tabs.
- The extension can't be used without the user's permission to receive MapsVoyage's advertisements.
Although the extension does mention that it is not unsafe, it is clear that the side activities it wants to perform on the user's computer are not user-friendly. The advertisements may contain unfiltered contents, which means that they might lead users to offers, sites, and services which questionable reputation. Although the services that MapsVoyage provides do work as expected, a quick check shows that the driving instructions, maps, and other data that MapsVoyage offers are not hosted by the extension's publisher. Instead, the add-on simply hosts content taken from 3rd-party map services and websites. This means that users can get access to the same functionality by simply using mapping services that don't demand the installation of 3rd-party software like MapsVoyage.
This extension appears to function as adware, and we advise our readers not to use it since it is likely to diminish their browsing experience. However, MapsVoyage is not harmful so that if you are not bothered by the advertisements it displays, then you will not be in any trouble if you opt to continue using the MapsVoyage's features. However, if you'd like to get rid of the MapsVoyage's intrusive advertisements, then we advise you to take care of the MapsVoyage's removal as soon as possible – either manually or with the assistance of a fitting PC security tool.
