High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.

The Mass Sea is a questionable ad-based extension that may modify your browser in a negative way automatically. The Mass Sea will not cause immediate system damage, but may still expose you to unsafe pages and programs. Its primary function is to redirect you towards sponsored domains, some of which may be suspicious. The Mass Sea may fill your Web clients with very aggressive pop-ups and banners, which may appear during each of your surfing sessions. The commercial materials by the Mass Sea may occupy a significant part of your screen. They may appear above some essential page links to make you click them unwillingly. Other deceitful tactics are to make the advertising windows transparent or create a fake 'X' button that triggers the link. The recommendation of the specialists is not to click on any marketing elements with the slogan 'Brought by Mass Sea' for security reasons.
Typically, ad-based extensions like this one may be associated with unpopular shopping platforms. However, these unwanted applications may sometimes transfer you to pages that promote unsafe software or try to trick the visitor to pay money in exchange for nothing. There is no way to know if an ad is safe or not before clicking on it. You should keep in mind that the Mass Sea may collect some data regarding your surfing sessions. The Mass Sea may have access to browsing cookies, search history and the list of most visited domains. Combined, this information may be enough to analyze your interests, so the offered discounts and coupons may seem user-relevant. The ads by Mass Sea may be so many that Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer may start running sluggishly. This adware is not hosted on the popular platforms for Web extensions. The Mass Sea has no official site either. You may load the Mass Sea without knowing if you install freeware bundles or download any content from file-sharing pages. This extension is created to remain as long as possible intentionally, so its built-in uninstall module may not work properly. It is advisable to delete the Mass Sea adware with suitable security software.
