Mecoosh Play

Mecoosh Play is a browser add-on which our researchers have labeled as a potentially unwanted program. Users might be tricked into installing Mecoosh Play because it promises to provide them with access to a wide variety of streaming videos, movies, TV series, and other entertaining content. However, the truth is that Mecoosh Play does not offer any of the content mentioned above and, instead, all it does is to host links to popular online streaming services like YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, and others. While this is technically helpful, it does not require the use of 3rd-party browser add-ons, since users can simply bookmark these services and access them whenever they wish.

Keep in mind that Mecoosh Play is not harmful, so feel free to continue using it if you are not bothered by the changes it brought to your web browser. This add-on is known to tamper with Google Chrome’s default new tab page in order to replace with Mecoosh.com or another page hosted on the same domain.

If you are not satisfied with Mecoosh Play’s features and you are looking forward to removing this software, then you should know that there are two ways to approach the issue. You could either use a credible PC security product to scan and remove dubious software from the computer, or you can manually dispose of Mecoosh Play through Google Chrome’s settings panel.
