The MusixLib Start is a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP), which is likely to be promoted as a browser utility that can help users discover and access new music from their Web browser directly. While this might sound like a great offer at first, users who install the MusixLib Start are likely to notice quickly that there is something out of the ordinary. This extension's installation will replace Google Chrome's default new tab page with a website affiliated with the MusixLib Start and the add-on's official website found at Musixclib.com automatically. While the change in question is certainly not unsafe, it may diminish the users' Web browsing experience by making them use a website that they are not familiar with.
In addition to introducing potentially unwanted changes, the MusixLib Start might also promote a page whose search feature does not always work as expected. Security researchers have tagged the MusixLib Start as a PUP so that its removal is recommended. However, since the MusixLib Start is not harmful, you can continue to use it if you are not bothered by the changes it brings. Even though, if you are like the majority of users who are not fans of dubious programs and add-ons, then we suggest that you remove the MusixLib Start either manually or with the assistance of a trustworthy PC security tool.
