The myMatch Start Extension is a browser add-on, which promises to help users find their significant other by replacing their default new tab page with an alternative website that features profiles from eTogether.com, a popular online dating platform. In addition to this change, the new tab page that the myMatch Start Extension promotes also might advertise other dating websites that users might be interested in. While all this might sound somewhat useful, we advise users who are interested in online dating to use a dating service directly, instead of relying on 3rd-party add-ons to do this for them,
While the new tab page that the myMatch Start Extension promotes does appear to work fine, it might provide search results, which are not as credible as the ones provided by Yahoo, Bing, Google, or other search services that are popular at the moment.
Although the myMatch Start Extension is not harmful, it has been classified as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) by several anti-virus product vendors. Removing the myMatch Start Extension is not mandatory, but it is the recommended course of action if you want to reverse the changes that the myMatch Start Extension brought. The removal of the myMatch Start Extension can be completed either manually or with the assistance of a suitable PC security utility.
