My Search Finder

While most browser extensions you will find on the Google Play Store and other add-on repositories are safe to use, their installation may sometimes bring undesired changes to your Web browser's behavior and configuration. A fine example of such an add-on is My Search Finder – it promises to enhance your ability to search and navigate the Web, but you are unlikely to experience such positive changes. Instead, as soon as the My Search Finder add-on is installed, it will modify your browser's settings by setting Search.mysearchfinder.co as the page you see when you open a new tab or when you use the address bar to initiate an online search. While this is by no means a nefarious change, it might hinder your Web browsing experience since you will be forced to use a non-trustworthy search engine that does not have the functionality and reputation of other popular choices like Bing, Yahoo or Google.

My Search Finder is categorized as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) and it is not recommended to install it on your computer. If, however, you have My Search Finder installed already, you should consider its removal in case you are not satisfied with the changes it brought. It should be possible to remove it manually, but it is a better choice to take care of this task with the use of a suitable PC security scanner.
