Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

The Nav-links Virus is an umbrella term for adware that generates Web links for Nav-links.com advertisements – usually by injecting the links into the content of unrelated Web pages. A Nav-links Virus sometimes is installed by other malware without your consent and may be related to larger security issues than the simple problems that come with being exposed to unwanted advertisements repeatedly. Although the Nav-links Virus is a low-level threat, SpywareRemove.com malware researchers still encourage using strong anti-malware tools for removing the Nav-links Virus, since failure to use appropriate software may allow some of the Nav-links Virus's browser changes – or other PC threats – to linger on your PC even after you've deleted the bulk of a Nav-links Virus.
The Nav-links Virus: a Cyber Disease that Slips Something Extra into Your Browser's Navigational Charts
The Nav-links Virus is not any one specific program, but, instead, a general term that's applicable to any browser add-on or adware that uses the Nav-Links advertising 'service.' Nav-Links is notable for restricting their advertisements to Web links that are injected into the text content of unrelated Web pages. While this does mean that the Nav-links Virus' advertisements are less intrusive than, for example, a pop-up window, they also have the undesirable side effect of making it easy for you to confuse the Nav-links Virus' advertisements with the original content of a website. Of course, these advertisement-purveying attacks will ignore your browser's built-in advertisement-blocking features.
Variants of the Nav-links Virus are particularly commonly compatible for Google's Chrome browser, but also may affect other brands of browsers. In some scenarios, a Nav-links Virus also has been seen implemented without any corresponding browser toolbar or add-on that would let you detect the attacks against your browser through any symptoms – other than the Nav-links Virus's actual advertising links, which may not display any obvious source.
Giving Your Browser a Booster Shot Against a Nav-links Virus
A Nav-links Virus usually can't be uninstalled simply by deleting any browser add-on related to the Nav-links Virus – and, in some cases, there may be no visible add-on to delete in the first place. However, SpywareRemove.com malware research team has found competent anti-malware software effective for deleting the Nav-links Virus in all its variants, which are classified as low-level threats like most types of adware. Because of the variable nature of a Nav-links Virus, you also may experience some attacks that aren't described at length in this article along with the characteristic Nav-links-based hyperlink injections.
Since adware programs are hardly known for prioritizing the safety of their victims, any sites promoted through the Nav-links Virus usually should be avoided, if possible. However, SpywareRemove.com malware experts currently have not linked Nav-links.com and other Nav-links Virus-promoted sites as being dedicated to the distribution of malicious software or other PC threats.
