Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

The NetSurf Ads may include a large number of products and service offers that some users might be interested. While these ads are not unsafe necessarily, it is important to note that advertising campaigns linked to NetSurf are not hosted on any website and, instead, these ads are distributed with the assistance of an adware application that goes by the same name. The NetSurf adware is promoted as a great online shopping assistant that can help users find the best deals online, view special offers, and also gain instant price comparisons for the products they are browsing. While these features may sound useful, the Terms & Conditions of NetSurf state that the extension is ad-supported, and the PC users who agree to install it also will authorize the extension to display its ads in active Web browser windows.
Most of the content of NetSurf Ads does indeed cover various products and services, but it is not uncommon for these ads to also promote web pages, games, and other Web-based content. While legitimate ads are not that bad usually, the case with NetSurf Ads may be different since it is impossible for the extension to take into account the layout of the website it is about to cover in ads. This may end up in unwanted consequences such as seeing ads, banners, and pop-ups on top of content or navigational buttons, therefore making it impossible for users to have an enjoyable Web browsing experience.
Although the NetSurf extension has an official website and download location, this utility also may be found in various software bundles that promote it as a one-of-a-kind shopping assistant. However, the offer to install NetSurf may sometimes forget to mention that, and users might be misled into thinking that there will not be any negative consequences because of the NetSurf's installation. If the NetSurf Ads are bothering you, then you should not hesitate to identify and remove the 'NetSurf' software from your computer and put an end to the annoying ads it displays.
