Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

The NewNoteCenter browser hijacker is marketed as a convenient toolbar but is a member of the big Mindspark browser hijacker family developed by the company of the same name. NewNoteCenter can affect the most popular Internet browsers, including Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. NewNoteCenter is said to be a significant part of InterActiveCorp/IAC, an Internet and media company that generates revenue through advertising.
The NewNoteCenter browser hijacker may get installed by the users themselves, as it is promoted with exaggerated promises of enhanced functionality. It also may infect your computer using the usual method employed by such programs, which is software bundles. In that case, you might install NewNoteCenter unknowingly, as the option not to install it will be hidden in the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' installation settings that most users tend to ignore.
Once it has infected your computer, the NewNoteCenter browser hijacker will start making changes to the settings of your Web browsers. NewNoteCenter will switch your homepage, new tab page, and default search engine to http://search.myway.com. This is just one of many browser hijackers that sets your search engine to MyWay, which is so notorious that it is even mentioned in a Wikipedia article and classified as adware or spyware.
The NewNoteCenter browser hijacker will aid the MyWay search engine to generate revenue by bombarding you with irrelevant ads, which also might pose a more serious security risk. Cyber crooks tend to use such ads to redirect victims to dubious websites from which you can get infected with threats that can compromise your computer's security, and end up costing you time, money and significant efforts to get rid of.
The NewNoteCenter browser hijacker also may prove difficult to uninstall, as simply removing the browser extension will leave other files and codes of the program on your system. This is why you should always be vigilant when installing third-party apps and rely on legitimate detection and removal tools.
