Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

The New Tab Aid is a Web browser extension that is hosted on Mybrowserbar.com, as well as on the official Chrome app store. This piece of software appears only to be compatible with Google Chrome so that users who rely on other Web browsing clients are unlikely to experience the minor annoyance that the New Tab Aid's installation may cause. A quick look at the utility's description on the Chrome store reveals that the New Tab Aid does not offer anything unique to users and, instead, it simply provides them with an alternative new tab page, which uses the Yahoo Search function to deliver results.
The website that the New Tab Aid promotes is not associated with Yahoo directly, and this should not be ignored since it means that the quality of the searches it provides may change at any time. At the moment, there's nothing suspicious about the New Tab Aid's page since it does not host any suspicious content and its search feature works as expected. However, we don't advise our readers to rely on browser add-ons that force them to use an alternative new tab page since most of these utilities and extensions have nothing of value to offer.
Some users might find the New Tab Aid on their computers even though they might not recall agreeing to install it. Regardless if you installed the New Tab Aid on purpose or not, it is recommended to remove it because it does not offer any valuable features. The removal of the New Tab Aid can happen either manually or with the help of cyber security software that is capable of removing Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs).
