Newtab.review is a website considered to be a browser hijacker due to its browser extension components causing unwanted actions that may modify Internet settings thus resulting in unwanted site redirects. In some cases, upon loading of the Newtab.review components, the Newtab.review will be set a s a default home page or new tab page.

The loading of Newtab.review extensions may take place automatically upon installing freeware apps or bundled software obtained from the Internet. Such an action may be stopped by savvy PC users who are able to uncheck a checkbox for installing add-on components with other software. Ultimately, Newtab.review may have its components eliminated automatically using an antispyware product or manually through the abilities of savvy PC users who can locate and delete web browser extensions.
