Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

The NexGen Media Player is a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) advertised as a one-of-a-kind media player that allows users to open and view all sorts of media files. It is true that the NexGen Media Player is compatible with the most popular audio and video formats, but this doesn't mean that NexGen Media Player is a trustworthy and handy program necessarily. The fact that anti-virus product vendors classify it as a Potentially Unwanted Program isn't a mistake and users should be aware that NexGen Media Player may be associated with some suspicious practices and tricks whose purpose is to generate additional profits for the application's authors.
The NexGen Media Player may use shady marketing tricks to get to the computers of random users, and it is a fact that many people who have the NexGen Media Player installed didn't agree to install this software knowingly. One of the methods that NexGen Media Player's authors may use to spread their program is the software bundling. Thanks to software bundles, many users may see attractive offers to install the NexGen Media Player when they intended to download an entirely different piece of software. Naturally, offers to install unknown software like the NexGen Media Player should be declined if you want to keep your computer free of potentially unwanted or harmful programs. If the NexGen Media Player somehow got to your computer and you don't want to use this software, then we advise you to take the necessary measures to guarantee NexGen Media Player's removal immediately. The best way to remove Potentially Unwanted Programs like NexGen Media Player is to use an anti-malware product since this is the best way to fully eliminate all of the PUP's files and components.
