NominalPolice.com
NominalPolice.com is a questionable and possibly harmful website, which may be used to spread various ransomware to vulnerable PCs. NominalPolice.com may be linked to security infections such as browser hijackers and Trojans that may lead to forced browser diversions to NominalPolice.com and similar fake police websites. Security threats such as 'Police' ransomware Trojans block a computer system and Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome Web browsers, display a fake police alert supposedly coming from legitimate governmental authorities and and then ask the victim to pay a so-called fine to restore access to the computer and Web browser. The ransomware Trojan accuses computer users of execution of illegal online activities and alleged violation of certain laws. NominalPolice.com may carry a malevolent JavaScript that does not permit the victimized computer user to close the browser window or visit a different website.
