Notepad Pro

The Notepad Pro has been categorized as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) by malware researchers. Software of this sort is not unsafe and using it will not get you in any trouble, but there are usually better alternatives to software of this type. The Notepad Pro add-on is a product of Polarity Technologies LTD, and it is advertised as a tool, which allows you to create task lists, reminders, and simple notes that will be added to your Web browser's new tab page. While this is somewhat useful, there are plenty of online services, which offer the same thing without asking you to install 3rd-party software.

Apart from the less intrusive alternatives, there is another reason why using the Notepad Pro is not recommended. This add-on's installation requires you to agree to allow it to replace Google Chrome's default new tab page with Search.hnotepadpro.co – a search page, which is powered by the Yahoo Search and provides the promises note-keeping features.

If you have added the Notepad Pro to your Web browser, but you are not satisfied with the quality of its services, then we suggest that you remove it promptly. This task can be accomplished via your browser's add-on manager manually or with the help of an up-to-date cybersecurity software suite.
