Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Olyrics may refer to the Olyrics.com website or to an affiliated browser add-on, the latter of which inserts advertisements into your browser via Web page-injecting functions. Because the Olyrics add-on provides additional advertising content that may be a security or performance problem, malware experts suggest deleting Olyrics adware with suitable anti-adware tools whenever practical. However, Olyrics doesn't have a history of distributing threatening content and is not categorized as a threat, and any contact with the associated Olyrics.com website may be treated as reasonably safe for your computer.
Olyrics or Adlyrics, Depending on Your Point of View
The website Olyrics simply is a text database of lyrics for popular songs and has no history of being a PC security problem of any kind. This commendable fact isn't necessarily true for all software related to the Olyrics brand – since malware researchers have seen several cases of new Olyrics adware programs being distributed throughout the Web. These browser add-ons may display Olyrics-based advertisements by injecting the new content into unrelated Web pages. By not providing controls to let you determine how these advertisements are displayed, as well as using suspicious installation methods like software bundles, Olyrics adware programs may be considered potentially security risks, with an official classification of Potentially Unwanted Programs.
According to their current formats, Olyrics adware installations always should be simple to identify through their Olyrics-outlined advertisements even when these advertisements are displayed on sites not related to Olyrics. These kinds of Web page-modifying functions tend to be interferences for your website interactions that like any adware function, may hold the potential to expose your PC to unsafe 'advertising' content. Malware researchers particularly warn to watch for common advertisement-based attacks, such as fake software updates, system scans and contests.
Removing the Advertisements from Your Singalong
Although the lyrics-related benefits of Olyrics-endorsed browser add-ons may be debated at leisure, tolerating programs that may modify Web pages for their own profit and expose your PC to third party advertisements automatically almost never is beneficial for your computer. For the proper removal of Olyrics adware or any other PUPs that may be involved in its advertising functions, anti-adware or general anti-malware products usually should be deployed, and used to scan your computer thoroughly. Even though Potentially Unwanted Programs are not proper a threat, they tend to include some of the traits of threatening software – most especially, a tendency to refuse to delete themselves or remove all of their system changes.
Since the actual Olyrics doesn't provide download links for any affiliated browser add-ons, it remains probable that Olyrics adware is distributed through third party sites that bundle Olyrics with other products. A little care about which sources you trust for new software, along with caution over what installation options you accept, may be the simplest form of protection against Olyrics advertisements at your disposal.
