Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

The Open Downloader Manager is a file-downloading utility that also installs Potentially Unwanted Programs. Browser hijackers and adware are the Open Downloader Manager's most common software partners, and malware researchers have long since confirmed the dubious benefits and significant unfavorable advantages that may be associated with one or both of these kinds of browser add-ons. Removing either the Open Downloader Manager or, at a minimum, all of the PUPs that were installed with the Open Downloader Manager is strongly advised for the future stability and safety of your machine.
The Manager that's a Bit Too Open with Its Partnerships
The Open Downloader Manager may not be a threat, but the Open Downloader Manager does take part in a business practice that malware researchers look askance upon, bundling multiple, unrelated browser add-ons with its software installer. Any PC users who install the Open Downloader Manager with its default settings also may install these add-ons, although perceptive individuals are free to opt out of these 'offers.' At the latest count, these extra applications include:
- Search Protect, a variant of a common Conduit search hijacker. Search Protect may reset your search engine settings to Conduit.com, a search site that exploits toolbars for most of its traffic.
- RelevantKnowledge, an adware program that conducts suspicious activities reminiscent of phishing attacks that try to gather information. RelevantKnowledge also injects advertisements into your browser, like most types of adware.
- GorillaPrice, a second form of adware. It also changes your browser's settings to enable the loading of extra advertising content.
- The Delta Search Toolbar, a browser hijacker similar to Search Protect, but for a different search site.
The Open Downloader Manager may change its partnerships at any time, thereby installing different programs from the ones listed here. However, in its current state, a default installation of the Open Downloader Manager may cause substantial performance issues for most Web browsers, including the injection of (sometimes corrupted) advertisements into Web pages that are unrelated to them.
Managing Your Way out of a Multitude of the Open Downloader Manager's Add-Ons
An Open Downloader Manager does give its users all of the download-related functions the Open Downloader Manager promises, but the additional products the Open Downloader Manager asks you to use are less than helpful for any Web browser that's been modified by them.
