OperativeField
OperativeField is a dubious Mac application that you cannot download from an official website. Instead, it is being spread exclusively via fake downloads, software bundles, and optional offers included in the installers of various free applications. Most users would not approve of OperativeField's installation because they are not aware of this program's purpose, and this is why this software may use misleading messages and instructions to trick users into allowing its installation. Once OperativeField is up and running, it may apply changes to your Mac's Launch Daemon and Device Profile to grant itself persistence.
The changes that OperativeField introduces are not dangerous, but you are unlikely to enjoy them since they will manipulate your Web browsing sessions in a negative way. OperativeField is dedicated to bringing more traffic to a 'Safe Finder' search engine by setting it as your Web browser's default search aggregator. The result is that whenever you enter a search term in the address bar, you will be taken to Safe Finder instead of your favorite search engine.
Clearly, OperativeField is overstepping its boundaries by introducing unwanted changes to your Web browser's behavior. Reverting your to normal may be difficult while OperativeField is present – this is why we recommend removing this utility with the help of a suitable Mac security scanner.
