Palo APP

Posted: June 23, 2020

Palo APP is a dodgy browser extension that is compatible with popular Web browsers like Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. Users who end up installing it may see undesired changes to their Web browser's settings - Palo APP is known to replace the default new tab the browser uses with Gooogle.page. Needless to say, Gooogle.page has nothing to do with Google, and its administrators have adopted this name to trick users into thinking that the page is legitimate. The good news is that Gooogle.page is not associated with harmful behavior, and it appears to work semi-reliably – it can search the Web. Still, you should know that the search results it displays may contain more advertisements than usual.

Software that applies intrusive changes to your Web browser's configuration is not considered reliable, and we advise you not to deal with add-ons like Palo APP. This tool is categorized as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP), and removing it is the best option. Do not forget that Palo APP has no redeemable features, so there is no reason for you to keep it installed – by removing it, your Web browser's settings should be restored to normal automatically.
